Prize Winning Submission: Breathe

When the heart is in fear and, no one is near.

Just breathe out a little.

When the monster under the bed turns out to be your head.

When the mind starts its own illusions and the heart gets engulfed in anxious terror.

Just breathe out a little.

When solitude makes its home inside your core and you can’t find your precious ones anymore.

When darkness has eaten your light and your mind gets stuck in the past.

Just breathe out a little.

When all the quarrels start to affect your health and your voice loses its track.

Just breathe out a little.

Just breathe out a little, let yourself become one with the air.

Let the zephyr ease away your jitters, pains and all the fears.

Let the divine become one with yourself, let the shine spread like a sunrise.

Just breathe a little and set yourself free
